I saw this in NY today...
This doc is fantastic! So entertaining and informative. It was heavily researched with some really good archive footage. It also had some really moving moments. I thought Chris's mom came off as so human and insightful. I applaud Chris and his brothers for allowing us to see both sides of the story, the glory and the horror. It was written and edited very well too. If you come across this doc, do yourself a favor and watch it. Grade A stuff!

sharePeople who use steroids recreationally are idiots who don't understand the risks. What the film doesn't tell you is that your body may decide to quit making its own testorone if you use steroids. I guess thats why those guys keep on using it. I feel sorry for them.

but Mr Bell's work is well balanced and interesting throughout.

One of the top docs I have seen. I especially like the scenes with the mother and the emotions involved with her sons chasing the bigger, better bodies.

This is my new favorite documentary and Im a documentary FREAK!!. One of the most well-done and thorough docs I've ever seen. Very informative, funny, sad and shocking, warts and all. Everything you want in a doc. Revelations galore. I would have liked to have seen more footage of Bell's father. He was a very wise man and I enjoyed hearing him every time he was on camera. Good stuff, Chris. A++++.
