Adam Scott **SPOILERS***

******SPOILERS BELOW***************

He did an amazing job evolving from the goofy, geeky son that Landau, in his dementia, perceived, to the loving and devoted son that he really was.

His character's transition from the begining of the movie was incredible - how do you start and stop like that? Unbelievable.

It goes without saying that Martin Landau and Ellen Burstyn are wonderful actors, and I expected that, but Adam really blew me away.

I've seen him in other movies and series (The Vicious Kind, Passenger Side, Stepbrothers, Parks and Recreations, The Aviator), and the diversity of his roles show what a wide range of characters he can do (just noticed now how many times he's played brothers).

This is really what an actor is - not some box-office draw who can only play a limited type in the same type of movie over and over.

"Hi! Would you like to buy some Girl Scout cookies?"
"Are they made from real Girl Scouts?"

I've liked Adam in everything I've seen that he's done. His performance in this film is by far, the best I've seen. He is truly a gifted actor.

I've mostly seen Adam Scott in low-brow comedies, and he's usually better than the material, but his performance here is a real eye-opener.
