If these made-for-TV movies are really the best job offers John Rhys-Davies is getting these days (something I find a bit hard to comprehend), then maybe there's a reasonable chance he'll relent and play Gimli's dad after all in the new "Hobbit" movies.

I understand he had a hellish time with the make-up, and that'd probably put anyone off, but at least he'd be back in quality stuff where he belongs.
