The Dog (goof?)...

I caught this movie about 30 minutes in...when Heather staggers out of the tent going for water (after the bite fom a hobo spider) she goes over to another tent with a refrigerator. In the background between the tent there is dog (German Shepard?) just chilling out.

Was he in the beginning of the movie? Because if so he sure missed a lot. And if not then its hilarious goof!
