Erica/Patient Problem? (SPOILERS)

If Sarah is Erica's patient then that means one of her regrets will be not robbing the house when she went back in S3. This would mean Dr. Tom wouldn't get crazy angry at Erica and thus would potentially not go back to view his death and learn to 'live' (Possibly meaning he wouldn't get back together with Amanda and retire?)

At the very least, some of Sarah's regrets are going to affect Dr. Tom's past which in turn will effect Erica's past?

No?

i just saw the finale yesterday and i did think it was interesting her being the patient. i thought it was clever in a way but then thought it could get complicated. shame we couldn't get a season of it.

As we've learned from many of Erica's own time travel adventures in going back to "fix" a regret...they don't always get fixed. Sometimes you just go back to learn something.

Even if one of Sarah's regrets was about robbing her parents house, it's more than likely she would go back, not rob the house, but end up causing something equally disruptive.

Therefore Tom would still get crazy angry and go back and view his own death...etc., etc.

Agreed

through all her time travels, how much did Ericas life truly change? I guess her lost virginity did and as we see in the Leo episode, timelines can change (unless Tom send her to an alternate reality where he survives).

The whole lesson of the show, if there is one, is that you really can't change the past. Most of the time, even when she did do things differently, they mostly ended up the same. What did change was that she got a better understanding of why people did things and why she did things. She resolved her unresolved feelings about a lot of stuff. This is the maturity that she gains through the show. That's what I loved about it.
