Is it just me, or did seeing Ethan really made you....

Miss him? I mean wow. I know that Ethan racked up a lot of negative criticism during the second season. I was one of the many that complained about him.

But seeing him again, with Erica, it reminded me of the chemistry they had. Not just as a couple, but just as really awesome friends who know each other inside and out. Even with all his faults, Ethan was good to Erica and did he best he could for her, as a friend and lover/boyfriend. Just seeing them together reminded me how fun and sweet they were before they were bogged down by all the relationship drama. Also a high Ethan was very very amusing. lol

I'm sad to see him go so soon after such a short return but understand the writers can't keep him around with Kai and Adamn already around. Would get crowded....like that dream.

Speaking of which, WHAT a DREAM! LOL What did it mean?

What really struck me about seeing them together again was how little chemistry they had together. I realize it was the same actor playing Ethan, but he seemed so.....I dunno. He seemed like a guest star who had never been on the show before. Sounds odd but you didn't get the feeling that these two actually knew each other, or had been through all the stuff they'd actually gone through together.

And the dream meant Erica is a horndog.

I felt the same. I never really saw Ethan as a good match for Erica. But seeing him again reminded me of how great the show was when he was around. All those fun flashbacks, what they've been through. All of that made me nostalgic and miss the old seasons and how simple and very well written they used to be. Ethan is a great friend to Erica, I really miss him now that he popped up again. I think he was way better than Adam. I wish that *beep* was never introduced.

And yes, high Ethan was awesome! You know come to think of it, I now realize that Ethan is the most human of them all. His character is really close to real life. I mean, there are loads of guys who are like him. And I think the actor who played him portrayed him wonderfully. Especially his doubts, shyness and insecurities.

So, yeah, I'm with ya! :)

I loved seeing Ethan, too. I'm sad this might be his only appearance this season. He wasn't perfect for her, but he was a good friend.

I think the dream meant that Erica should see something in herself I guess the guys brought out in her. They were telling her, "I'm here for you" or something like that. I'm not an Adam fan but I still think she should learn her lesson of why the relationship broke up --not just that she was controlling-- but whatever lesson Adam was there to teach her in her life --for that amount of time-- she is to learn it and let him go.

Definitely not just the OP. I don't want them together romantically but I after this episode I really really miss them as besties. It always made me so mad that after they broke up they just stopped speaking to each other. I'm glad they were able to hang out this episode and still have the season 1 chemistry. I wish they would keep him around as a friend, only a friend, they work well together.

I did actually miss him, but only because I really don't like Adam. I like Ethan and Erica as friends, not lovers.

I totally agree with the both of you! I would love to have him around as her best friend again. But like I said, with Kai and Adam in the mix already, it would get way too complicated. Also it would be unrealistic for Ethan to be in the picture and not have old conlicted feelings towards Kai, and new conflicted feelings towards Adam rise up. Would just get way too messy.

So alas, goodbye Ethan:(

At least the two of them left on way better terms now, and that their friendship is anew, even if it is a long distance friendship.

@purdys_99 It made me miss Ethan too! I had forgotten how badly I shipped them before they were an item! Ah I really wished she would end up with Dr.Tom, but seeing the road this season (the final season) is taking I don't think it is a possibility. Especially since they hinted that something happens to Dr.Tom (probably dies). I would rather have Erica with Ethan than Adam or Kai any day! The relationship with Adam was seriously pushed and the whole thing with Kai? That was way too quick and jumbled up. It made no sense. Actually both the relationships were pushed. Maybe it is because they both travel in time? I don't know why they did it that way, but I do not like it. And Kai is way too young for her. He even looks younger than what he really is, it irritates me so badly. I could see him with her sister, just not her.

As for Erica and Ethan being friends, I would love to see that! It's too bad:/ I like them together as friends and as lovers. I don't like how they completely took him out of the picture with Ms.Ethiopia. They left no room for a possibility that Erica and Ethan could ever be together again. Ah well...

Being "friends" after a romantic relationship is nothing but a bad cliche. It just never works.

Um...yes it works. It probably works better if you guys were already friends before going into a romantic relationship though.

Works great for some people. I have a good friend who is sort of an ex - not really a romantic relationship but it was a physical one. We are still really good friends.

It made me miss Jenny, actually. I do think they had good friend chemistry. I rooted for them to date, until they actually did. And then...that sucked. haha
