Amazing documentary. It broke my heart.

I come from Florida (aka Hurricane Central), which btw was struck by Hurricane Katrina right before it struck Louisiana. And, I experienced 1992's Hurricane Andrew (I lived in one of the badly damaged areas). So, I know firsthand what it is to live through a devastating hurricane strike and its aftermath.

This was an amazing documentary. I loved the combined footage showing the neighborhood before & during the hurricane strike, and then what resulted in the weeks & months afterwards.

It saddens me to think that some areas of New Orleans were never rebuilt or improved in the years since the hurricane strike. That, combined with the challenging lives that the characters in this film have had to endure is heartbreaking. It goes to show that many of the residents of the 9th ward (and other poor areas of New Orleans) were simply good people caught in a bad circumstance, and they certainly did not fit the stereotype of troublemakers and criminals that the public holds of the New Orleans residents who remained in the city during the hurricane strike.
