Garbage poster for micmacs

The poster is an example of terrible design and color selection,as well as using cheesy fadeins of all the characters, haven't seen one this bad for a while.

Hmmm... I like it quite a lot actually, and think the color scheme is one of the strongest points in its favor.

As a designer I actually have to agree with N of Maud on this one, they could of at least desaturated all of the characters or even posterized them to compliment the papyrus effect in the background... They could of just used the title, the truck and the main character in the poster, that's it.

You know, stumbling across this again and taking a good look at the poster, it doesn't look quite as good. It's something that holds up nicely at a glance but begins to fall apart if you look too closely.

I think you're right, blueweb... doing just the truck, Bazil, and the title would have been a lot better, and I think that's because all the other elements are either production photos or frame grabs. I doubt any were intended for use in the poster, leading to all kinds of inconsistencies in perspective (different focal length on the lenses, various angles, etc.), and Omar Sy's halfheartedly placed-in portrait in the lower right is probably the worst offender. It's a bit jumbled.

Still dig the color scheme though.
