I have a feeling the poster above you meant LONER children and not lonely. Lonely kids try to get involved yet fall short of being accepted. Esther was not Lonely but a loner. she seemed perfectly fine with being by herself.
and to be honest, it is really good to see a kid who could occupy herself [at any age]. I know adults who apparently need adult supervision at all times.

Maybe you missed the end, but Esther was really 33. So it's not surprising that she would be a loner amongst an orphanage filled with kids. Kids who have kid brains, and can't hold a serious discussion. Esther was obviously extremely smart (she picked up sign language quickly, when there was no indication she already knew it). So yeah, any 33-year old woman isn't going to want to hang around with children.

So i guess you perfer all other sheeps but if someone is doing something unique they are considered creepy in your opinion.

She came off as sweet and innocent. She was good at manipulating people.
Becuase she always kept to herself, I take it that the parents felt sorry for her not interacting or having a relationship with the other kids.
