Even if the BBC does commission a new series I cant see the talented cast choosing to stay.

WE paid for three seasons of the awful Robin Hood, and now they're not ending when ROBIN HOOD leaves at the end of the third. They're seriously suggesting they can carry on without him.

Actually, Robin Hood improved enormously over the second series. As for Jonas Armstrong leaving; I'm assuming they'll be using the notion (as supported by historians) that 'Robin Hood' was a name given to a type of person, not just one person. There was a theme running through the second series that the whole of Robin's gang was 'Robin Hood'.

They better not axe it. It's the funniest thing on telly. Bring on more!

They Better Not. I am looking forward to a second, longer, series.

I would love a second series, haven't laughed so much in ages, but what can it possibly be about? Dr Muggle has found Excalibur for her mother so what can she obsess over now?

I would say the Holy Grail but that has been found. Any suggestions?

Perhaps the Ark of the Covenant, buried under a Roman pool, guarded by a secret society - Oh wait...

Urgh! That is a few hours of my life that I won't get back.

As for the next thing for Gillian to obsess over? She could spend a few sleepless nights wondering what happened to the crew of the Mary Celeste?

She can find Thor's hammer and accidentally drop it on concrete.

She can find Atlantis and accidentally set the place on fire.

She will then discover the mystery of the Burmuda Triangle where the linked clues from all three of these great discoveries will lead to the location of the descendants of the crew of the Mary Celeste who will all somehow be related to Gillian.

Oh yes, bring it on, I want to be a writer on the show.

They really have axed it.

Burning it would have been more appropriate. And then going to the pub.

to think the second season couldve been based on real archaeology;

episode 1 - a broken roman pot, only finding a square centimeters worth...bonekickers tho would turn it into finding the last cup that judas escariot drank from, the anti holy grail that is said to release a curse apon the world.

episode 2 - they may have found a possible roman settlement a mile away from where they thought it really was...bonekickers would turn it into king arthurs final resting place meaning camalot was not to far away, and if it were a bbc program i really wouldnt put it past the creative staff to have a crossover with merlin.

episode 3 - they find a document with a census of london from a very obscure date... bonekickers would turn it into a lost manuscript pertaining to a list of lets say bavarian illuminati members since there popular in media.

top stuff
