Uh, actually it could be that he's an actor with a tiny talent and even smaller range. He's past 40 now, and since AMERICAN GANGSTER his name has been attached to literally a dozen movies that it would be generous to describe as dicey. It seems as if most of his work is going straight to video.

^^This. But Cuba is capable of giving some amazing performances just look at Jerry Maguire. He was awesome in there! I think Cuba's going through what Nicolas Cage is going through right now.

Thanks for bringing up Cuba Gooding, Jr.'s past great movies, screwbie_doo . It seems as if some people like to conveniently forget a celebrity's past greatness when they are criticizing him/her. It shows how shortsighted and narrowminded our Socieity is nowadays.
