I've just gotta say...

Rollins and Pearlman in the same film? I am all over this. Can't wait!

Miracles of Men are better than Miracles of God.

Saw the Rollins show last night, he mentioned this movie, apparently a lot of lower-budget movies with high-profile actors are gonna come out since this was made during the writers' strike.

Oh, and his character is a PRIEST, guarding the gates of hell! Seriously!

DarrenDirt, I am just a bit jealous of you seeing HR doing his spoken word, been wanting to catch that...he is so tongue and cheek in most movies anyway, this should be awesome as well.
And him playing a priest? Talk about irony, considering how he feels about organized religion...hahaha...can't wait till May 26th!

As opposed to sounding arrogant?

Using the wrong word in a sentence doesnt mean they dont know what it means.

reply

Well if a person is using a phrase wrong, doesn't that mean they don't understand it? You're the arrogant one, not to mention the type of person that would reward the effort before the result. Nothing gets done that way. You fail.

"You fail"?

Blueisis did know what the quote meant, as indeed much of his humor is "tongue-in-cheek". So, special_ED81 wasn't rewarding "effort before the result". You, however were rewarding the efforts of an arrogant grammar policeman making unkind comments, which certainly "gets nothing done". Way to "fail", terrencepatrix.

Hey English teacher, your hyphen should be a comma. I just thought you ought to know as long as you're going to hand out red check marks on a message board.

just so the movie - 100% garbage. All these well known actors and the result is awful. :(

I wasted 1 1/2 hours of my precious life on a piece of religious trash.

If I were to use lingo that teenagers of today would use, I'd say this is an 'epic fail'.

The Christianity crap, fallen angels BS, makes it end up as a cross between the exorcist and a regular horror thriller. I don't think it's fare to compare, but mindless zombie movies have more flair, than a demon in Iraq bunker farce.

What pains me the most is the waste of great talent, viz. Perlman and Cuba Gooding Jr.

Yuck. I am still reeling from the bitter after-taste.

ummm... I'm confused. Is this a thread about a movie or the proper usage of the English language? Which, by the way, was bastardized by us Americans in the first place.
Someone please tell me. Do I "fail" now?

It's all so tragically trivial.

reply

yes.
