the nurse that Chad dated (spoilers)

I will probably get something wrong here, I'm so confused. I think Chad was the guy who usually didn't wear a shirt. After his girlfriend Layla suddenly stopped ever having existed (at the lake) he drove up to talk with all his friends, and he had a new girl with him. She had dark hair, and a pink dress, and seemed like a sweet girl. Later on, he drops her off at the hospital, where she seems to work.

Was there anything important about her? I keep wondering if she was supposed to be an angel, maybe, inserted into that iteration of their universe by God to try to help whoever she could, and maybe save someone from the demon. She worked in a helping profession, and she just seemed more positive than the other kids, most of whom were druggies, drunks, total raging ho-bags, etc.... Toward the end of the movie, Sandy is being wheeled along the hospital corridor on a gurney, and she passes that same girl, who gives her a strange look.

If she was supposed to be a significant character, her scenes were deleted, but it still seems like a possibility. Does anyone think I could be onto something here?

For Grave Encounters... I'm Lance Preston.

That was funny. I was was wondering about her too. Why did they show her again? Did she remember Sandy at least subconsciously? Why focus on her at all?

Cecilia (Ci-ci) was just a McGuffin, a plot device to show that Layla was ‘missing’ and that Chad didn’t appear to care - hence Sandy accusing him of double-dating Layla.

Cecilia wasn’t part of the original clan, so wouldn’t have known them.

I guess the only reason for Cecilia to appear at the hospital was to confirm she was a real nurse and show it was a real hospital and not a hallucination, just in case anybody out there was confusing realities, and why not, seeing she didn't speak any extra lines so it wouldn't have cost any more to have her in the scene.

Phew!

...it's just another dumb film, get over it.
