it was pretty bad....

never seen the wild west so spit and polish clean, I mean everything looked brand new, the cloths, the buildings, the horses.. everything was to clean... not to mention very poor acting etc.

I thought it was pretty good--held my interest. The part that bothered me was that some of the actors looked alike, and it was hard to know who they were.

Curious as to why you would think it wouldn't be clean? Things old to us were new to them - so of course, they would have (or could have) new saddles, guns, etc... and the only things that wouldn't be clean would be from the dust and dirt - but they did have brooms and such back then!

They didn't have washing machines or dry cleaners. They washed clothes by hand, against a washboard which required rubbing the cloth against a ribbed wooden board. This caused the cloth to wear. They didn't buy new clothes every week because they were in limited supply. Often they'd wear the same suit of clothes all week, and a different outfit on Sundays. Their clothes would look worn and less clean.
