This movie...

The Note is one of my favorite books by Angela Hunt. I sincerely hope that Hallmark does it justice. It would be a shame if it turned out to be another sappy hallmark movie...

It was ok. They changed a few things. One in particular (POSSIBLE SPOILER), Peyton doesn't meet her daughter at the end. In the book the daughter changes her mind on finding her birth mother. I found it a bit disappointing that they changed that part in the movie. But I guess hallmark wanted a feel good Christmas story and that's what they had to do to get it.

Yes, even though I did not read the book, that was the biggest sour note the movie hit. It was far too over the top, and cheesy of a coincidence to suit my tastes. Personally I believe they should have stuck with a bit less of a cliche ending. And honestly, seeing as Hallmark loves sequelizing their successful films, they might as well saved the "Peyton Searches for her Daughter" plot for a second film, hence squeezing a bit more juice out of the stone. I could easily see a whole series of Peyton Macgruder Hallmark films.

I hope not. The book was great all by itself!
