i got a defective new dvd copy!
what is the best thing to do the copy of mutants i got is brand new but it doesnt play on any of my dvd players or blu-ray player and on my xbox 360 it says mixed media disc
shareI just bought a copy tonight (brand new, not used) and I have the exact same thing happening to me. I put it in my ps3 with my lights off and it usually says dvd-disc. But this one said data disc. So I turned the lights on thinking maybe I put it in upside down, but no, the mutant picture popped out right side up. When I checked the info on the disc it has nothing on it. Blank disc. Pretty janky if you ask me. Only thing we can do is take it back to the store and hope they have another copy to trade for. I usually imdb any movie I'm going to buy and read some of the discussions before so. I wish I would have seen your post, I could have got it back to the store before they closed. Oh well, hopefully everything works out for you. Just know you aren't alone, there is an army of two defects.
sharei got my money back thankfully they tested it out at the store i also contacted ifc/mpi they said the first batch of dvds were all defective i emailed diabolikdvd a cool website for movies they also had the problems with discs but diabolikdvd got the corrected discs i actually just got mine from there today in the mail and the movie worked perfectly
shareNice to hear you got your money back, it's like pulling teeth returning a video. I took mine back to Hastings and they had only one copy left. It was a former rental copy and it worked fine. Plus it was fifteen dollars cheaper than the new copy, so win, win for me. Thanks too for the info on the other site, I will be checking it out for dvd's now.
