Any connection to Petzold's Ghosts?

From the trailer alone, this film resembles Christian Petzold's movie Ghosts. The theme of a woman who thinks she's found her long-lost daughter; the sequence shot in an eerie red light. I wonder if the filmmaker saw the Petzold film.
