Netflix Streaming 'Fatso'

Hey, this is on Netflix. But, to ad, the interesting thing is that the date for this version is "1980." So, they have the incorrect date for this version. The dub-over is horrible, but I enjoyed watching it.

Just finished watching (insomnia and NETFLIX go together). Not the most amazing film but I liked it. I'm really enjoying getting to know all the Norwegian actors and film makers. I recently watched the first season of Lillyhammer that featured an interesting but tragic arc for Kyrre Hellum. I didn't recognize Nils Jorgen Kaalstad but according to IMDB, he was in one of the episodes too.

Also thanks to NETFLIX, I've seen some work by Aksel Hennie. Specifically Max Manus: Man of War. Again, it's not the most amazing film but I like seeing films from a different perspective and the talent pool is impressive.

I agree the dub is pretty bad but it was still a fun watch.

I also saw this movie on netflix. I was diappointed. I agree the dubbing was awful..just go with subtitles! There really were no laugh out loud or snicker moments for me as I watched the film. I hated the way the female lead led him on during that sleep with me scene. Now granted, the guy should have not had been masturbating next to her, but instead should have made a move on her.

One other thing...the cover had me believing there would be more female nudity! LOL

Just to let you guys know, Netflix now is streaming this movie in Norwegian with English subtitles. I couldn't finish it some months ago when it was being streamed dubbed, so glad I waited. Thanks Netflix.

I'm holding out for the DVD, as I have a DVD Only membership for Netflix (I'm old school, I guess...prefer watching movies on my TV screen vs computer, etc...plus trying to save money). Hoping for the Norwegian (man I suck trying to spell that word lol) language with English subs version. However, Netflix says the DVD is currently unavailable. Though I've heard others talk about getting the DVD from Netflix. I'm in America. I wonder what country they're in. Though one lived in Maryland and I'm in Virginia, so I'm still trying to figure that one out, how it was available for him and not me...wtf? lol So I'll have to figure out what to do.

Really want to see this, really gotten into movies like this lately (indie comedy-drama), sounds like the kind of thing I might be able to identify with...well, somewhat lol Cool that they make movies for us awkward, flawed, quirky social misfits these days :-) Get tired of movies with socially perfect, pretentious d-bags I can't relate to. But yeah, been waiting for it to become available for some time :-/
