It's not supposed to be anything. That's the way he talks naturally, he's from Boston.

I just watched the movie and I cam on IMDB because I thought I spotted an Aussie/S. African twang on some of his word pronunciations. Alas, I found he was from Boston...thought I would be interested to find out if one of his parents are from the southern hemisphere....there's definite Aussie/S.African vibes if you ask me...

shareThe other Aussie says no way. I agree with you though. I could hear in some words an Aussie sound. Which made me check him out thinking maybe he was an Aussie trying an American accent and sometimes slipping. Didn't sound 100% completely American to me either and I watch American tv and have been to America few times including Boston. I know this is an old post but I just watched the movie

I realize this thread is from 2009, but I just saw this movie on Netflix and I thought from the first word he said with an "r" in it that he was from Boston.
