Make a FD 6
I know it's unlikely, but who does it honestly hurt to try and make a difference?

I'd like to see a sequel that delves into the bigger picture of why they're receiving the premonitions, and how...

I was wondering about this. One likely possibility is that the person who has the premonition is simply more sensitive to spiritual realities than the others present.
Expounding upon this theory, since death is one of the greatest tools of the devil according to the bible (Hebrews 2:14), we can conclude that an evil spirit is sent to prematurely kill certain people through an unlikely chain of events. As such, it could be argued that an angel provides the 'vision' to the sensitive individual so as to thwart the evil spirit's design, keeping in mind that angels are "ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation," meaning people (Hebrews 1:14).
Before any sourpuss responds with disgust at my citing the bible (rolling my eyes), the other poster brought up a valid question about the movie and I'm simply offering a plausible explanation from a biblical perspective. No one has to accept it or agree with it. It's all conjecture anyway because the Final Destination movies never explain WHY the protagonists have premonitions about an oncoming tragedy.
you never know with the way they like to remake movies they might decide to remake one
