The premise reminds me a little bit of the superior genius film with Peter Sellers Being There, yet without the superior genius.

sorry but this isnt "Being There" by any margin,its pretentious nonsense that just peters out and 90mins of wasted opportunity

I too thought of Being There, but this movie lacks the originality of Being There. In Being There the protagonist had something to say, even if it was misinterpreted by others. This guy gives you nothing, he's going along for the ride.
