Dt. Tapp Obviously Dies?

This is what bothers me. If you know the character you are playing is going to die, what is the point? Furthermore, how quickly will he die? And who will you play after he dies?

I hope it fits neatly into the establised story.. It seems unlikely they can keep him alive...

unless he is still alive.. you know, they just assumed he was dead because they never found him. And at the end of the game he is locked away or something.

I dunno.

lets say dead.

I just think it's funny that he DIES at the end of SAW by Zep! LMAO and if he doesn't die, he was very badly wounded. The thing that gets me is that if they say he survived the bullet wound then apparently Tapp is the strongest human alive. He had his throat slit, he got his behind beat then shot through the chest with a gun. And yet, somehow he survives? I don't know...it's extremely far fetched to me...hard enough to believe he survived having his throat slit let alone anything else.

obviously he lived. it's not like they are going to change the whole game because you aren't playing as doctor gordon, which many people thought.

plus, from ign, amanda is featured in it, and it seems like a fun game based off the thirty minute preview that was reviewed.

the main point here is that leigh whannell wrote the thing. the first one is brilliant in every form. the second two kind of lacked, but delivered. but they honestly need to get patrick and marcus off this series.

now i am rambling. okay, point: leigh whannell written, featuring an interactive and original saw storyline. i dont know why its so hard to comprehend.

Crank kept your adrenaline pumping, Crank: High Voltage left you shocked. Wasn't that the point?

I think it takes place before the events of saw 1. Its a game for fans after all, so i think some of what we see in SAW6 will have something to with this game.

It depends on whether the game is cannon or not.

In the Scarface game you play as Tony Montana after the events of the film - but as we all know, Tony Montana was definately killed at the end of the film, so the game was just a 'what if he survived?' scenario.

Until we play the game we won't know if it's canon or if they just decided to play around with a 'what if?' scenario.

It's kinda like the Enter The Matrix game. That tied in with Reloaded in the same way this is going to tie in with Saw VI (and the others).

Or the new Star Wars game The Force Unleashed. It counts but not if you don't want it to. And it's also a game where you know your character will die, but you don't care

Tapp ambiguously dies.

Spoilers

In the freedom version; Tapp gets out of the asylum and returns to his appartment. He reads the papers and after a while he grabs a revolver and points it at his head.

In the truth ending, he is trapped on a bed shaking and there are sequences of him being tortured then he would die from a pendulum trap.

SPOILERS
In the truth ending he doesn't die from a pendulum trap...its implying that he is crazy and the reason why he is in an asylum is because he was REALLY put there for being insane and that all of the things he went through were just Tapp's imagination going wild hence the freedom ending is the true canon ending

I believe that the truth ending is the cannon story not the freedom. Jigsaw always knew you had to annticipate the human mind.Based on Tapps chacter I don't believe he would give up the truth no matter what. He was determined to find and stop Jigsaw since he first came on the case. That is why Sing died, he didn't want to wait. He wouldn't let his obseesion die. He kept pushing forward in the game to locate Jigsaw and put an end to the games and get revenge on Sings killer. When he came to the door to choose I believe he would have sacraficed everyone he saved to continue on. Everyone blamed him, why would he help them find a way out they left him on his own or in the case of Sings wife, she locked him further into the game. I know I wouldn't worry about any of them after that. They all made there own choice.

At the end I took it that Tapp went Crazy after beating up Sings wife before he relized it was her. Not to mention he watched her die the same way that his partner died, that would push anyone to breaking point. I took from the end where he was strapped to a bed that it was the same assylum where he was being tested. He failed his test by following after Jigsaw but passed in the since that he saved everyone from there traps. So a negative and a positve action does not redeem him nor does it count against him in Jigsaws eyes. So he is being held there to be tested once more. The 2 people that appear to look in on him that you can't tell who they are, I think it is John and Amanda. Only a sequel will tell though.
