Objective Review

Let me start off by saying that I have been a Troll 2 devotee since around 2005/early 2006. I own several domains related to the film, am the administrator of a very popular character's Facebook page (on his behalf, of course), and was thrilled to order/watch this documentary form Amazon.

A couple thoughts/points I'd like to get reactions on.

1) Michael Paul Stephenson fluctuated too fluidly from being pensive/thoughtful one moment, to exploiting the strangeness/sadness of the "where are they now" segments (i.e. Robert Ormsby/Margo Prey). I felt this to be strange/insensitive, and detracted from the film.

2) Stephenson did not spend adequate time explaining his role/experience in the filming/aftermath. I feel that he shielded himself from the same scrutiny he exposed the other cast members to - and came off more as an aspiring filmmaker (with a hipster-reinforced look), rather than someone who was truly motivated to document this glorious movie.

3) Deborah Reed wasn't involved. HUGE LETDOWN.

4) George Hardy seems like a really nice guy, but just as it was in 1990 when filming Troll 2 - he's not "lead actor" material. Following several of the "main" actors around, and switching between them as they converge at the screening reunion would have been a better method to capture all of their interesting dynamics.

5) Others have mentioned this - but - Why was the focus of the film on the fans? Obviously those of us who have Troll 2 stree-cred have already gone through the conversion process, have shown dozens of people the film, and are responsible for this documentary being made. The story that should have been focused on was the strange circumstances surrounding the production/filming... not a "where are they now" approach.

6) The girl who said "I'm a Goblin in DISGUISE!". Most annoying fan-girl ever? Truly obnoxious and annoying.

you never said if you enjoyed the movie or not though??

what about repeat viewings? still think it would of been "better" with these changes?

I completely agree, and would like to add-

Fragasso seemed disgruntled throughout, whether genuine or due to editing, however gained my sympathy- the actors really were ungrateful 'dogs'

And perhaps I missed it, but Stephenson's use of the title 'Best Worst Movie' and then to not make any mention of the infamous worst-movie-quote was odd.

Who invited E.T. -?
