This is too bad.

I'm an American, and a big fan of Simon Pegg & Gang... but by far this is the worst idea ever. I have a feeling this will lack the cult humor of the original and work off the premise to be a "standarized" sitcom.

/sigh

Are you kidding? Freaking 'Shaun of the Dead' was loaded to the gills with 'Spaced' cult humour. Why would they pardon it from the ACTUAL movie?

This isn't a spaced movie, it's an American remake of the show.

Thats what they were worried about.

I'm a quitter. I come from a long line of quitters. It's amazing I'm here at all.

Oh god.

And it's being done by the guy who did 'New Adventures of Old Christine' and 'Will & Grace.'

Not... good...

I'm torn about this project you see I think the American version of The Office is really good, the difference at this stage is that Simon Pegg, Jessica
Hynes and Edgar Wright are not involved.

Jessica even contacted Fox and was told that there was no way her and Simon could be involved at this stage!

US fans I suggest you boycott this show and buy the original on DVD.

I`m not sure what country you`re in but in AMERICA ...Will Sasso is...IS - the funniest guy alive......oh yeah, and he stars in this. Go back and look at MADD TV episodes ...Will Sasso was and is a genius...later - Malibu Calls

i find it funny when people like to jump the gun on a show and hate it from the start without ever seeing it. you guys need to flipping calm down and make a judgement after you watch it. just because something is a remake or an adaptation doesnt mean it will be bad.

yeah the original was great, but that doesnt mean this wont be great either.

you need to chill.

No offense, but we've learned from past experience that the US remakes of great UK comedies always seem to miss the point.

Coupling US?
Red Dwarf US?

The British versions of these shows are funny as hell, but the US remakes are PAINFUL!

are americans (us) so out of ideas a creativity that it isnt enough to remake movies now...now we have to remake TV SHOWS< what the *beep* is going on here...especially a show lke this, why ruin a good thing?

That's the last goddamn hitchhiker I ever pick up.
