poor menu indicators

A lot of films have poor clarity in indicating their menu options, but this film was the worst. I had to fish around and hope I got the emphasis on the right option. There wasn't even the slightest shade of difference in the options. This is the worst example of this I've ever experienced.
It's baffling that the film technicians could be so oblivious of the needs of the viewer.

I agree, definitely among the worst I've seen. How hard is it to do a good job on this part, anyway? It's like DVD producers think it's cool to make function difficult. This should not resemble a Peter Max poster!

There were no ham sandwiches and that was worse than rabbit stew without the rabbit.

Truth is stranger than fiction, but fiction must make sense.
