I'm sure I'll get blasted, and I know it's soon in the series, but

I want some same-sex couples for him to match up. This is the 21st century, and I'm sure the ROMAN god of love wouldn't be at all adverse to matching up a few gay couples.

(plus, if they're trying to keep their show on the air, it'll create at least a little buzz.)

What do you guys think?

Le médecin, le capitaine, la fleur, le loup. Destinée.

reply

I was just thinking that last night.

"If we're all dead, maybe these people won't notice that there's no DINNER!"

reply

I think it's totally a possibility, like you said it's 2009 and there are a lot of same sex true love couples out there.

What the *beep* is the internet??

reply

Oh yeah, bring it, Cupid!! Match up some same-sex couples!

reply

Thank you so much for posting this! I completely agree. Why not commit to the ideals of love this current society believes? Love is not limited to just man/woman, but same sex as well. I would be very interested to see if Cupid actually goes this route!

Ms. Taylor: Why are you touching dead, naked people?
Jimmy: Well you see I work in autopsy

reply

That would be hot! And since Sarah Paulson is a lesbian in real life, Cupid should totally match her character with another female :)

reply

I thought Cupid was going to try and set the kid in the last ep with someone.

reply

Yeah, it would've been fun to have the kid end up with the guy he fought with. :)

reply

Sure. And maybe match up some S&M couples, dominants with submissives. And how about interacial? Maybe set up some threesomes. And adults with kids. The possibilites are endless.

reply

0_0 how the hell do you make the jump from gay relationship to pedophilia? thats disturbing

"Can I get a flashback on this? ....no?"
"I need a catchphrase!"

reply

I agree. If it was an attempt at humor, it completely missed the mark.

reply

In the old show, passing mention was given to Jeremy Piven matching up a male/male couple.

Plus it makes sense, during roman times, same-sex couples were more openly accepted.

and they call gay people sick..look what comes to mind to this homophobes? pedophilia and bestiality.

whatever. run back to your cave.

"Can I get a flashback on this? ....no?"
"I need a catchphrase!"

And how do you what will be considered okay in 50 or 100 years? Look at what you are asking to see. How would it have been looked at 50 or 100 years ago? Times change as do attitudes. So long as you have a vocal lobby to argue your case.

reply

It's more along the line that cultures are different, not so much the times. It's kind of like an assimilation.

Look, I've been a man into women since day one... however, you bring up a true and extremely relevant point... true love is true love, no matter the gender. The truth is? We feel loving toward those that we love, social taboos be damned! I have tremendous respect and compassion toward my brothers and sisters that feel attracted to their own, and for WHATEVER reason. True love is legit and respectable, curse those that don't respect that!

You're great, don't doubt it; you know who you are...

I was a big fan of original show... but cant remember all of the episodes.
But something tells me that that one had same sex love.

And I havent seen the new show... but how about huge age difference? Is that represented? I think they should show all kinds of true love. Even puppy love! (some people actually stay with the same person since early teens!)

And one that just came to mind can a criminal couple not also have true love?

The strength of the show is that it can explore the variations of love. And show that love hits anywhere, anyone and any time! :D

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

reply

Lol, why did you think you would get blasted?

Why settle with words what you can settle with a flamethrower?
