Racist, homophobic, anti-environment, nationalistic garbage.

Spark of Insanity is the first time I've seen Jeff Dunham.

He's a talented ventriloquist, but his cutesy act has an ugly undercurrent of mean-spirited prejudice.

A good example in this show is his running joke about the Toyota Prius low-emission car. This begins as a typical right wing pro-oil industry sneer at environmentalism (mocking the car itself), then adds homophobia to the mix (saying that men who drive a Prius will appear to be gay, like that would be such an embarassing thing), and then a dash of racism (mocking the asian Toyota staff and imitating their accents).

This kind of poisonous garbage is designed for small-minded ignorant straight white local audiences, and outsiders who are too slow-witted to realise that the joke is on them.

But it has nothing to do with being American. There are so many better examples of American humor, from South Park to the Daily Show to Sarah Silverman. Those people laugh AT the kind of prejudice that Jeff Dunham represents.

He's hiding behind "comedic licence" to get away with it.

I'm gay and I find him hilarious. Saw him live in Manchester, UK in 2012 and loved it.

I genuinely don't understand people who are easily offended that watch stand-up comedy. Why would you bother? Grow the hell up and lighten up a little. Christ.
