Dvd's of Superfriends Hour

Finally some episodes of this series will make it to dvd. The series had a total of 66 episodes (24 from 1980-1981, 18 from 1981-1982, and 24 from 1982-1983) The last set (1982-1983) are coming to dvd in August of 2009. They will be in a 2 disc set entitled Superfriends the Lost Episodes. I am not sure why the first 42 episodes of the series are skipped, but hope that Warner will release them soon along with the World's Greatest Superfriends (8 episodes from 1979) and the original Superfriends (16 episodes from 1973-1974) to complete the entire Superfriends series on dvd.

I am glad my list of missing shows on DVD is the same as yours. It gets confusing with all of the different shows over the years. I guess I am one of the few people that loved the first series the best. I like Wendy and Marvin. My favorite episode of any of the series was when the bad guy in the episode would throw an egg on the ground and it would open up into something. I thought that was cool. I also enjoy the Legion of Doom series.

After this coming release, we should only have four more to go. They better not split season 1 into 2 parts like they did with the last release. They was just a plain money grab. There are not that many episodes from each series anyway.

Warner did release the original series 1973-1974. All that remains to be released is the first 42 episodes from this series and the 8 episodes from 1979'a World's Greatest Superfriends.
