Although I found it funny, I also find it hard to believe that a neurotic woman like her would wear underwear without washing it first. 😂
It's not just about being neurotic, it's just comon sence.
A lot of scenes are written into films and TV that don't make sense or contradict the character's personality. For me the scene, although funny was more an excuse to have her bop around in a cleavage revealing dress, from what I recall anyway.
