Since while the game was in developement and they were in talks of a third movie, and the movie would be set in the present, that the rookie is actually a younger version of someone there gonna have in the movie if and when they make it??

haha, michael cera...they would probably use him too...the rookie is actually based on one of the game's designers, looks just like him. saw an interview with him on X-Play on G4...his names chris i believe...the character probably wont be in the movie because at the end of the game *spoiler alert* they send him somewhere else to head up the new rookie recruitment camp.

And I'd love to see the Rookie come back in the next one. Maybe they can keep him around due to the fact that they still needed him to recapture all the ghost that were re-released?

I'm 99.9 percent sure Cera would be too young to play the rookie. Don't forget this game is set in 1991. If GBIII is set in the present, the rookie would then be around 20 years older than he was in the game bringing him to middle age years.
