Uninterupted parade of 'monster movie' references with thinnest of plot

Based "on an idea" by Tim Burton and woefully absent of much writing thereafter. Even the familiar and sometimes wild Danny Elfman score seemed to whimper and whither away to nothing in the third act, replaced by some Zoey Daschanel claptrap in the credits.

And I love it for that. This movie is a wonderful love letter to the old horror movies. It's also about a boy and his dog.

Can't stop the signal.

reply

No, THIS movie is about A BOY AND HIS DOG

I couldn't believe when I read his filmography that he played a toilet (no joke) in According to Jim

Yes, very good. That one is too.

There is more than one movie about a boy and his dog.

Let's be bad guys.
