i liked the anime version better but the movie is still entertaining though.one thing i dislike about the movie is that they made negishi too irritating at some scenes and it never happened in the anime version.Anyone has the same view with me ? i give the movie an 8

I just gave it a 6... The manga and anime are so much better. And, yes, Negishi was always with an irritating posture. It was kind of annoying...

I dont like how they squished some of the things that happened in the manga together. And Krauser wasnt as awesome :[

i gotta say the movie sucks big time. i hated how negishi was portrayed with that gayish and annoying attitude :(

anime was a hell lot funnier

I see what you are saying but the movie and the anime/comics are very different things. Things have to change in for each medium.

no effort was used in making this movie, they just used the anime/manga scene by scene , even the lines are the same.
They should have at least cast Sadao Abe as Negishi, the guy was absolutely hilarious on Maiko haaaan, Matsuyama over did it to the point of irritation

I thought the anime was ten times funnier as most of the humorous scenes come from the exaggerated animation and facial expression, something you can't exactly transfer to a live action format without it looking weird and ridiculous. Also a lot of the best jokes were skipped for example the capitalist pig, the tower, all the "rapes" etc. And why were Guri and Gura dogs?

Would definitely recommend people to check out the anime before seeing the film.

I watched the anime and i liked the movie better. I thought the anime itself was weird, ridiculous and poorly drawn and warranted a good adaptation with such a great concept and story. I do wish some more of the great parts of the anime were brought over but for the most part I liked the changes, especially Guri and Gura being dogs instead a couple gay looking dudes. Also concerning Negishi being too ridiculous, gotta remember the guy playing him is "L" from Death Note so for people familiar with him, it's humorous to see him playing such a dweeb. I thought it was way too silly as well until i realized who he was.

I've only watched part of the movie at this point, but so far I like it better than the anime. The anime was just soooo stupid without being funny most of the time. It's like they were trying to making something crazy and funny like Cromartie High School, and failed.

Having seen the movie twice now, I definitely like it better. But I do love that one episode of the anime where Krauser goes home and tries to talk sense to his brother.
