Why on Earth did Josh still want to marry Linda, even after he saw what a cold-hearted, self-involved, arrogant, hate-filled witch she was? She's beautiful. Yeah. I get it. So what? Whoop-dee-doo. That certainly doesn't explain why he still wanted to marry the horrible shrew of a woman who treated his childhood best friend like garbage. Yeah, he eventually dumps the witch and humiliates her in front of the wedding guests. But you know what? He should have dumped her before that. Instead, he let the engagement continue until the wedding day. Why?! Oh, that's right. Because, up until the wedding day, he was a spineless, whimpering, weak-willed little man. I can't stand people like that!

She was not a shrew for having VERY valid suspicions and getting pissed and upset when a basket-case of a woman who usually refused help kept barging into his life.

Men will always marry the attractive woman doesn't matter what her character is like. Someone attractive is better than someone average who has your heart and loyalty.
