I don't understand why Andea was living like a hobo...

Here we have an educated woman, didn’t steal money from her company, didn’t do anything work related dishonest. Just had an affair with her married boss.

Okay so at the end of the film she is living in some crappy hotel looking apartment. Why? Why am I supposed to believe that because her husband dumped her she will be destitute to live a life of crap.

Again she is and educated woman.. Get another job. She didn’t murder anyone.

Her husband took her money so when her rainy day he had the umbrella.She should have gotten 50% ownership in that company.

But if they were divorced by the time that he got the company(which it looked like they were), she wouldn't have any legal claim to it.

shed get half if they were in a 50/50 state and considering he started it up with her money she should have pursued that avenue

She did yell out, in front of everyone (including her brother in-law/husband's best friend/part owner of the business)"Keep it, there's more where that came from". Even though it did show him paying her at the end, he was probably wouldn't have to.

They were in Atlanta and Georgia is not a 50/50 state. But however since like you said in your other post it was her money she should have been entitled to half of it based on that alone.

Half? Nope. You are entitled to nothing if you commit adultery. And it wasn't money she earn so she can't be "reimbursed" for nothing. No work ties to it so lucky Chris.

Plus at the end wasn't it revealed that Andrea's mom was filthy rich and so was that homeless friend of hers? Surely they would help Andrea and her baby out despite how rude and hateful she was since she was family.

To the OP,...as far as Andrea, and what she didn't do, how about what she DID do?? She absolutely did do something work-related dishonest. She had an affair with her married boss. Do you think that that would earn her respect in the workplace, no matter how good she is at what she does? Unless she gets a job working for another man who just wants to sleep with her, she's boned. And not in a good way. If you behave like a whore at work, it will eventually come back and bite you in the a$$. No woman would hire her, and a married man who hired her would have to fire her as soon as his wife found out about her.
And what does "Just had an affair with her married boss" mean?? Are there no more lines anywhere? Do you think it's ok to have an affair with your married boss? If you're a man, would you feel that way if your wife had an affair with her boss? If you're a woman, would you feel the same if your husband had an affair with an employee?
Andrea got exactly what she deserved...including the slap. He should have followed through with a backhand.

Maybe they wanted it to reflect reality at the time. In 2008 (heck even now_, even educated people couldn't find jobs in this economy which means if you were fired or just graduated college there is a good chance you will be SOL for awhile.

She's so educated yet not smart enough to get a separate bank acct in just her name, or even another bank??

You'd be shocked what banks/companies will release to you if you have your spouse's social. My brother got a desperate bank account from his wife when they separated but since it was at the same bank, she could access all the information on it. So he switched to another bank, she STILL gained access because she had his last name and social. He had a store credit card at Lowe's. She went to lowes and put stuff on the card without physically having it. She applied for credit with him as a consigner, he had to get credit protection to call him any time his credit was run to block it. As long as you're still married to someone, you can access anything they have unless you put legal restraints on it. You could always sue them once they start going that stuff, but it doesn't stop them.

She accepted large sums of money in return for the affair, and charged her affairs to company expenses (remember Abby confronted her in the office). So she probably didn't get another job because she couldn't get a good reference from her previous employer.

i think she got what she deserved, karma will a person on the butt every time.

Her affair made her abilities questionable. did she get where she did because of degree and hard work? That is not likely, she got where she did because she slept with her very married boss.

She accepted gifts on that boss' credit card.

any future boss might question her ethics and abilities, she certainly would not get a positive work reference for her work skills.
