The fact she stayed with her slimy, cheating husband made her just as weak and spineless as Sanaa Lathan's character. I mean, Sanaa's character was a selfish bitch, but I don't see why she had to get the short end of the stick, while that man got to keep his wife and perfect family. I thought it was sexist and unfair. The woman is just as wrong for pursuing a relationship, but letting the man go back to his happy family without any repercussions because the wife can't "live without the husband" and "support herself" really rubbed me the wrong way.

Oh, I'm sure that she gave him hell that we didn't see. I really liked how she told Andrea off. Andrea was always rude to the people around her except for William, but she totally got served by Gillian.

She probably punished him somehow...but staying with her husband doesn't make her weak...she loved him and wanteed to make their marriage work ....it takes a lot more courage and strength to stay and try to work things out...then to just run away.

Had her husband stayed or left, she was sitting on a fortune. She told Andrea where to get off at, spineless? I think not.

And how about the mom who owned the diner was a millionaire and when Pam was like, "Mama you're a millionaire, how come you never said anything?!" "You never asked!" WTF?

i love the movie though even though i'm griping about some parts lol.

Her mother-in-law spelled it out clearly: "you are a scorned woman without a pre-nup". She held all the cards and he would have to give in or give up half his fortune.

I think it was laid out subtly, but her mother in law cunningly stated, she holds all the cards now. The power of that marriage shifted in her favor. She was no longer the woman who married into money, she had the power over his money. Married a millionaire without a prenup, she had the power to destroy him financially if he scorned her again. He didn't come out clean, he came out put in his place.

Um...but Andrea came out poor. William got off easy because the wife would have rather the other woman be punished for sleeping with her husband than to lose out on a secure marriage with money and children. I still stand by what I said in 2016.
