Movie Name Changed to 'The Post-Grad Survival Guide'

Friday Night Lights star Zach Gilford is in final negotiations to play the love interest of Alexis Bledel in the Fox Atomic comedy The Post-Grad Survival Guide.

Michael Keaton, Carol Burnett and Rodrigo Santoro also are joining the cast.

The film centers on Ryden Malby (Bledel), who graduates from college and is forced to move back home with her eccentric family while trying to find a job, meet the right guy and figure out where her life is headed.

Gilford is best known for his role as quarterback Matt Saracen on the critically acclaimed NBC sports drama, which has shuttered production because of the writers strike. He is repped by Endeavor and D/F Management.

There's no word on what roles Keaton and Burnett will play in the comedy. Santoro (300, Lost) is set to play a neighbor who is an infomercial director and becomes a friend and confidant to Bledel's Ryden.

Vicky Jenson (Shrek) is directing the comedy, which is scheduled to begin filming Monday in Los Angeles. Visit HollywoodReporter.com for more ...

Well, then, sounds like a promising movie. Great cast! Thrilled to see Bledel in something else now, moving past Gilmore Girls and 'Traveling Pants' material, hopefully. Not that those were bad but an actor has to branch out. Definitely excited to see Gilford in another good role, besides his FNL one. Keaton, Burnett, Santoro - fantastic talents as well. Coleman is the 'Martian Child', just found that out. Haven't seen any of his work but he must be good to be included in this cast and to have gotten a lead role in that Cusak film. Looking forward to this!! Woohooo!!! :)

Impressive cast! Looking forward to this one. It'll be good to see Zach Gilford in something else coz I only know him as Matt Saracen. He's great.

I hope his character isn't shy and awkward though :)
