i'm sick of the newer smackdown games ignoring the best part of the older games. i remember the first 2 games you could walk all around backstage. boiler rooms, streets, plazas, vip rooms, offices, restaurants, corridors. you could go anywhere. in those games i used to go round the whole backstage killing my oppenent by running him over with a fork lift truck or motorbike, or hitting him with a trolly. the games are getting worse!
sharei totally agree with what you just said plus the season mode is shockingly bad in SVR2008 (you can't even win tag team, US or intercontinentinal championships!) and the season is the same with smackdown and raw (havent played ECW yet) smackdown 1 and 2 ruled, so did number 4 in all fairness, me and my brother only ever played in really cool locations but now we're restricted to a tiny square ring and a pathetic area in the audience, i mean WTF is going on!
shareYeah I loved how you could fight anywhere during NO D.Q matchs. I also miss how you used to be able to wander around the arena talking to and making matchs against other wrestlers backstage. I thought that was great and should be in the game.

I think the reason why they dumped the backstage areas, because WWE rarely have fall count anywhere matches in car parks, VIP rooms, etc. Either that or THQ is saving room for GM mode.
