Shocked at the venom against the series

All the negative comments seem from Christians offended by the content of the show. To me the rebirth of religious fanaticism is more terrifying than any horror series. FYI people it's a TV series, get a life!

I was thrilled it was a fairly fresh take on a tired concept. Most movies and series dealing with possession are lame Exorcist knock offs. They tried to build on the mythology and bring in little talked about aspects of Catholicism. I had a lot of fun with it. It also dealt with my favorite angle that demons are actually trying to claw their way out of hell because it's unpleasant. Toying with the idea of Saint possession is a rare theme to play with. Not the first time I've seen it taken on but it was more directly approached in this series. Supernatural also dealt with a lot of this as well as approaching Angels as they are portrayed in the Bible. Their biggest change was bringing in female Angels. Angels are called the Sons of God in the Bible and there's no hint of female Angels. Also Angels are a separate race not dead people. They are more like Demigods in the Bible. Actually the only hint I'm aware of that God created Angels in the Bible is them being called Sons of God.

Okay off topic. If you're a right wing conservative you'll probably hate the series like some of the other posters. For everyone else it's well worth a look. Sadly it's being removed from the Netflix cue in a couple of days. It's why I decided to watch it. Too bad because it's a slick well produced and written series.
