I always thought this show would be terrible...

But from the brief glimpses I've seen of it, it's hilarious! I love the absurdity. While it's not over-the-top, like Xavier: Renegade Angel, it's got plenty of awesome nonsensical moments, like when Chowder ate that sour candy and his face puckered up so bad he imploded upon himself and created a black hole. I also remember seeing the characters attempt to teach Chowder something about cooking by stomping books into his brain, or at least trying to do so. "WHY...WON'T...IT...FIT?!"

I'll have to see more of the show. It's actually really good.

I don't poly-cotton to coping tropes, even my own.

Same... It just looked like one of those bad shows you wouldn't want to watch. So I avoided it every chance I got. The other day my friend requested that I see this show... So I decided why not. I was very surprised with it.. and found it very funny. :) I am glad I watched it!

I agree. When I saw the first commercial of Chowder(the one where just show Chowder doing raspberries), I thought it looked like a super stupid show. After watching it, it's actually pretty cute. Also, gotta love the peppered 80s references in various episodes!!

My 2-year-old starting getting into it a few months ago, and I also thought it looked really stupid...at first. But the more I paid attention, the more I started picking up on the wit and cleverness of the absurdity. Now I love it! It reminds me of old school Spongebob, but less inhibited.

i initially avoided this show because of the title, but when i saw a few of the episodes i really enjoy chowder. i like the humour- reminiscent of spongebob and the concept is good also.

it's a shame it got cancelled because this was 1 of the very few better kids cartoons from this decade.

Yeah when I first heard of this, along with Flapjack, I thought they were so stupid and that CN was going even more downward. But these two shows and Adventure Time are the only worthy shows on CN!

Donnie Darko-8/10
Percy Jackson & the Olympians-The Lightning Thief-7/10
