I really liked Let the Right One In. Now that I've read the book, maybe it's time for a rewatch.

I'm not that familiar with Swedish cinema, but one that comes to mind is Sound of Noise (2010) . I remember really liking it. And the Swedish adaptations of the Millenium books: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (though I haven't seen the last one).

I thought you were talking about the Millennium books and I struggled to remember where the zombie was in those lol

But I don't remember a zombie in Let the Right One In either. It does have more plot. I think there was more stuff with the drunks and the boys father. From what I remember I think the nature of the relationship between Eli and Hakan? was different in the film and the book. But I might be wrong about that. (I have terrible memory when it comes to things like this)

I've read one other - Handling the Undead. There were zombies in that one. I did enjoy it as well.

Yes, Noomi Rapace plays Lisbeth. She's excellent in the role. I think the films were a mini series for TV in Sweden that got edited into three movies.

Oh, yeah, Hakan came back somehow in the book. I guess that makes him a zombie :)

I'm not familiar with Pet Sematary. While all the cool kids were reading Stephen King in school, I was reading Dead Koontz (though I've caught up with some King by now).

I've seen Les Revenants. I really liked it, the first season more than the second though. Too much time spent hiding is houses from what I remember. But it did have some similarities with Handling the Undead, whit the way the story was approached.

Another one that came to mind is the Swedish Real Humans (Äkta människor). I thought it was excellent.

Also I'll second the poster below me's suggestion about The Bridge (Bron/Broen). It's one of my favourite tv series.

I can't speak for Swedish films exactly, but we've watched a number of television shows/miniseries and really enjoyed them. (Wallander, The Bridge, Graven) This is one of my husband's favorite films, and I really enjoyed it, too.
