Doesn't sound too good --->

^ 'A jumbled, whorish, opportunistic hot mess, POLANSKI definitively proves that "bold" and "good" are not always synonymous.'

Yikes!

I disagree with this review. I thought the film was very good - including the acting by Chapa who had to master his subject's appearance, body language, and method of delivery (voice, inflection, etc.) and bring it to the screen consistently throughout the movie. And by the way, the choice of music and the entire sound track was exquisite and perfectly injected into the film scene by scene. I think it could have been tightened (edited) a little in the middle, but overall it was a terrific effort and the undertaking was clearly no easy task. Biopics are risky business in general and this one was very good. Other than (1) the miscasting of the cameo role of Sinatra, (2) a question as to the authenticity of the scene where he is posing for the press at the murder site as discussed by the reviewer, (3) the same question of authenticity concerning the mother's conversation with the SS Guard prior to her fate, and (4) the aforementioned belief that the film could have been tightened up a bit, this film deserves kudos and accolades all around.
