Andrew Zimmern really changed.. in a bad way

Anyone else agree? This used to be my absolute favorite show for years, but Andrew gradually got more annoying and cringing to watch in the last few seasons. He just needs to tone it down. It's like he's trying to find meaning in what he does, the way he explains where he is, what's being made, by who, etc. He used to just give some background about the place he's in, try the food, be a nice guest and move on..

But now you won't hear the end of him complaining about the bizzare food, acts arrogant like a know it all, and is trying too hard to be quirky and weird. He almost insults people the way he acts sometimes.. He just got incredibly annoying to watch, last episode I saw he was crying at the old lady who was thanking him for complimenting her food.. cmon Andrew. RIP my Bizarre Foods, thank god for Booze Traveler

Agreed on all counts except for Booze Traveler. I don't care for him either. Something about that host's accent seems like an affectation to me.

Andrew's getting tired. The last season I watched last year was mostly compilations, he does Delicious Destinations which is his voice over, when I saw that new show I knew he was phoning it in (pun slightly intended). And I understand he's tired, but then he should stop doing the shows if he hasn't already.

About Booze Traveler, I love that show actually and the host is really good. Seems like a chill dude.

I didn't notice him 'phoning it in' over the last season, but it's pretty obvious that Food Network is grooming him up to be a standard show host. 'Bizarre Foods' pretty much disappeared last year - as far as new episodes, and so forth - but he's becoming a 'regular' as a judge and 'personality' on new FN shows.
