1 of the Worst movies of 2009 - favorite candidate

I watched it last night. Firstly directing is weak, director don't know anything about acting. Script is meaningless, and dialogues are very bad. Acting is worse than amateur. In movie you want to feel their pain and sadness and what they feel about their losts, but it is impossible. All characters are out of life, there isn't any good scene.Ashton acts a wrestler and he walks like he has an umbrella in his ass, this doesn't make him look like wrestler.Good acting is needed. Michelle Pfeiffer looks like an alien with her irregular silicon lips. In movie there is nothing about pain, sadness about loosing family members.it just makes you thing when Michelle gonna have sex with Ashton. and this is what she things instead of his dead husband. this is the point of whole movie. nothing about drama.
believe me this movie doesn't worth your 2 hours.

1/10

It is just an opinion you have a right to have :)
Film is tidy enough. 8 out of 10.

8 out of 10...

Your opinion is worth less than the OP..

I think speaking english is a prerequisite for enjoying this movie

reply

I was going to post the same thing, LMAO!

reply

I loved it!

When does "tidy enough" mean 8 out of 10? An 8 out of 10 should be a little more than just "adequately tidy" The movie should actually be good for that.

"Weirdness was all he cared about. Weirdness and sex and plenty to drink."

In movie I never once thought about when Michelle and Ashton were gonna hook up...and though not the best film ever, I think this movie does worth your 2 hours.

Seriously though, this hardly qualifies for one of the worst films of 09. Unlike the OP I think the simplicity of some of the acting...though not always top notch...allows you to feel the loss, confusion, and even desperation of the characters.

The OP just doesn't seem to have actually paid attention to the movie, but was more concerned with Michelle's lips...and Ashton's dead husband ("and this is what she things instead of his dead husband.")?!?

If you don't like slow-paced dramas, this film isn't for you. If you want all of the actors to look like super models, this film isn't for you. If you want a decent drama with a simple, fairly realistic feeling story give this one a look.

For someone who reallly hated this film, you certainly went way out of your way to come on here during your day and personally attack the way the actors looked as human beings, rather than a proper critique of the movie, not to mention I don't think most of us were able to make out what you were trying to say as your English is pretty bad! I'm wondering how you understood the movie if it was in a language you don't speak? That might be the reason why you described to us all how Ashton walked and how Michelle's lips looked rather than at least a constructive critique of the film. I don't consider yours as a valid review, I think I'll read Roger Ebert's version to get a little more depth. The film is not about loss, they have self-help books for that, it's a love story about two people coming together and moving past their personal loss and living life again. Love can help one to do that.

The movie actually opens in theaters on Friday, March 27, 2009 folks, for those interested and the DVD is set for universal release on May 12, 2009. I know it's been tough trying to follow when and in which country the DVD would be released, but that's the latest, at least in Los Angeles.

This movie sucks ass. You sound as sappy and as overly emotional as the *beep* movie you're trying to defend.

Get a job, you hippie.

I am pretty sure that this won't be listed as one of the worst movies of 2009, but I think it should merit consideration. In my opinion, this movie contained some of the most deadly overacting I've seen since Sly Stallone in the last Rambo flick! What, exactly, was Ashton Kutcher playing this role as? He came across as a dimwitted twitch for about half the movie, and the rest of it as if he had lost interest! Sorry, but this "emoting" just doesn't cut it for me. I did not feel his loss. As for the "striking older woman" I was left wondering how she got cast in this movie. Ms. Pfeiffer has talent, but it was not evident here...at least for me. I thought the only good acting in the movie was Spencer Hudson as Clay. I felt his pain and alienation very strongly and empathized with his character much more than the others.

reply

Anything with Ashton Kutcher doesn't worth two hours of my life.

reply

you still can't speak English!

reply

Funniest thing I've read in a long while. This doesn't a joke. I laughed uproariously.

reply

Really good movie, 8/10

reply

This movie was awful - kutcher's acting was atrocious - i couldnt tell if the character was supposed to act brain damaged or if kutcher was just acting that way- either way his character was annoying

reply

think you meant...isn't worth your two hours. don't know what you may have expected...suppose a mix of Grease 2 and That 70's show. I was prepared to dislike the film because I read your comments before I saw the film. Turns out it was a slow piece not designed to do well for a movie audience sitting with drinks and popcorn on a first date who are used to television and over the top special effects but now to dvd quite an original story that some people will find on their own and find something in it to relate to and some won't find much to it...like real life...
