Everquest?

Is that "the game" they play? Remember that?

I remember my friend (On EverQuest) told me about this series and I should watch it.

I actually still play the game, in fact... it just tured 16 yesterday!

No it's a made up game. Felicia Day was a huge Warcraft addict and mentioned she missed job opportunities, auditions, woke up late for filming. She said this was her inspiration on making this series.

I've played EQ for 8 years solid and just recently playing an EMU of it, but I did know a lot of people like the ones she had on her show, especially the Clara character.

She based it on Wow and guild wars.

I had a few years of Evercrack addiction & still miss it to this day. Felicia definitely based "The Game" on WOW. The font for "The Game" looks the same as WOW's. But I always liked to think it was Everquest, lol.

It's hard to go back to EQ full time, and if you're not doing it full time, part time play suffers from friends out leveling you and moving on. P99 EQ just isn't the same, it's good for nostalgia, but it's not the same game. I'm glad I finally broke my MMO addiction, it was ruining my life.

I wish more people who felt this way would turn to the Zek PVP server. Although the gameplay there is more hardcore, and there is a good amount of trash talk, the atmosphere is so much more chill. Not to mention the +50% EXP bonus. The players on Zek actually care about each other, whether those feelings be good or ill. Whenever I even try to play on blue servers I can't stand the snooty attitudes of the players and the petty social cliques. It doesn't take long for me to start fantasizing about PKing those noobs. But I can't and so I go back to Zek much happier having forgotten about the bluebies after a while.

I actually think the dumbest part about this show is that the game is only called, well, "The Game".

I think it started out that the characters referred to it as "the game" in the first few seasons because everyone knew what they were talking about, but in season 5 I think is when they first indicated it's actually called "The Game".

Still love the show, though.
