I'm confused....

There are, according to this film, one million orphans in Malawi alone, not to mention the millions of orphans in other third-world countries, the millions of orphans in the United States, etc.

Why, then, is there so much paperwork, red tape and extreme, EXTREME costs associated with the adoption process? So much negative press has been about Madonna's adoption of a Malawian (sp?) boy, the many Pitt-Jolie adoptions, yet the celebs seem to be the only ones that can afford to adopt these poor children.

Personally, I'm unable to have biological children of my own and would give just about anything to be able to start the adoption process but the costs are astronomical. When is someone going to make a movie about THAT?!?

GREAT point! I suggest Michael Moore.

That would be indeed an interesting subject, by the way I had no idea it was like that on the US.

Why don't you adopt from the country you live in?
