Christian Scare Film

I want to warn perspective viewers that this film is filled with Christian morality and dogma. That the wages of sin is death. That's all great if you believe that sort of thing, but be warned that the films thrusts that down your throat rather gleefully and unforgiving. It's as though NeoCons started making films.

If that doesn't turn you off, then this is a pretty interesting film. It's clear the director has something to say, even if I disagree with him.

Ha ha ha.

You're confusing an apparently extremely religious character IN a film with a 'religious message' film, who by all accounts appears to be an insane, evil serial killer through most of the screentime.

The film leave most things open to the viewer's interpretation - hence the occasionally quite bigoted pro-religious comments and the quite unintelligent 'anti-religion' comments about the same scenes!

I think you need to see the film again if you've seen it at all?

This is the only film of the director's that is this heavy-handed (or religious in nature at all, even).

Even if he is Christian, he doesn't regularly bludgeon his audience with the fact.

I'm glad I don't watch films this way. That is, feel that films are "shoving something down my throat" just because I might not happens to agree with whatever it is it's about. I don't approach films as if the filmmakers are telling how to live through film or something. That seems rather idiotic to me and it seems to be not getting the concept of fiction.

Conform or be cast out
