Some answers. (And subsequently spoilers.)

Reading some on the comments on here I saw a lot of "Who was in the trunk?" (I think I even saw a "WHAT was in the trunk"!)
Really?

-Just before the trunk scene we see Summer finding Bens pic all scratched up. This is clearly a sign of death.
-Clarcs reaction shows pretty clearly that it's not "just" a dead body, it is the dead body of someone close to him. (About the "what" was in the trunk - you can clearly see a decaying hand sticking out!)
-Later when they are all together in the ghost town again Joseph keeps dropping hints that Clark shoud tell summer about Ben, and Clark tries to shield her from finding out.
-Oh yeah, and was I really the only one to HEAR him shout "BENNYYYYYYYYY" after he opens he trunk?

Having said that I don't really think it was the actual corpse of li'l Ben, rather just a "vision" of sorts, someone on here theorized that Clark's secret was that he's a baby killer and that this vision was a kind of "just dessert"-type punishment, I'll buy that. (After the killing of Clark at the end Summer gets Ben's now unscratched pic back)

There are however three open graves showing in the end (someone else was asking what was the meaning of the two open graves in the end, count again...) which complicates things a bit regarding Ben... Could it be the baby's grave? Not likely... But I don't know.
