Ripoff of a British Sitcom of the same name from 2019

Can't Americans do anything original?

reply

We do lots of stuff that's original. We also are good at taking an idea and improving on it. That's why so many foreigners talk shit about us, because people always try to take down the guy on top. There is no denying we set the global standard for the height of entertainment. Our movies, music and tv shows are the most popular in the world on average. It's awesome to be us.

Tad conceited friend.

reply

I noticed you didn't disagree. Facts are never conceited. However, envy is very real.

reply

I envy your delusionalism.

reply

Again, no actual counter, obviously because you can't. Also, delusionalism isn't a real word, just fyi.

reply

No word is real till it finds meaning.

reply

TRUTH.

reply

Nobody does sitcom as well as the Brits.

reply

Our American versions are always superior. Shameless, the Office, and now Ghosts.

reply

Only in a Brits wet dream is the British version of the Office superior to the US version.

reply

Tried one episode of the English version and I hate their version of Jay! Why the fuck is his mouth constantly wide open?

reply

Some American characters I find better than their English counterparts, and others it is the opposite. The American husband is better, and so is the high-class former lady of the house. I prefer the English WWII officer to the Revolutionary War American, and the English politician with no pants to the younger American Wall Street equivalent.

reply

me too, he annoys me so much.

reply

also r spirits/ghosts suppose 2 b this entertaining?? they dont act like the 1's I c on those ghost hunting shows, I'm talking about the few episodes where they actually spot something strange and often hostile .

reply

I can't imagine being offended by another country remaking an American series, but it sure does offend a lot of people the other way around. You know who isn't offended? The creators of the original series who are producers on this version and allowed this to be made, so I'm sure they are happy with the paychecks.

Don't get me wrong, the British version is better in this case but it's not some sacred property that should have never been touched.

reply

After watching both versions----I find I enjoy both, but do prefer the American remake.

reply

yes!
