enjoyable fluff

In the UK this film is classed as a 2015 release directed by Stephen green and was made in 2013 according to the copyright. Grace note says this is a David o Russell film.

I had rented it from lovefilm as a new title.

The subject matter seemed rather dated, I suspect the threat of that Obama medical insurance thing had started to have a major effect on how the story could have any context by the time the film was probably ready for release.

the actors ran with the material and no matter what is read in other posts about its troubled production, the film did maintain a level of energy that harks back to frank capra.

I would recommend people watch this film now, instead of 2036 when this lost film will be a genuine cult classic and every hipster will be raving about it.
