Should have been 2 hours

Too much was left untold, didn't progress fast enough for one hour.

Thanks for nothing NBC, good luck on the 2 new doctors shows a 1 law show you have made room for.

No closure, no way to finish the story. God, let there be a second season somewhere.

It seems like the script was written with the expectation of a 2nd season to continue the story. But I guess they didn't change the ending despite knowing the show might be canceled.

I completely agree.
This episode was fantastic and really took a turn that I didn't expect. It really should have been longer. The final episode opened up significantly more storylines than it closed.

'I think that's the point. They wrote and filmed all 13 episodes, including the one we just saw, before they found out they had been canceled. "Too much was left untold"-- that's what happens when you write a season finale expecting to leave your audience on a cliffhanger for what'll happen in the next season.

If they had written and filmed a series finale, what we just saw would not have felt so incomplete.'

Agree with you BranSigg...thre was only so much the writers could do with the 13 ep's anyway. They wrote this not knowing whether they would be renewed or not. I thought this finale was fine.

David is now exiled and on the run. We've seen him go from being naive to seeing what the Royal family is really like and accepting his destiny.

William Cross is as good ass dead. All his actions mean that IMO there is no way that Queen Rose would bother to save him.

Reverned Samuels is still guiding David and appearing to Silas. So even though he is dead, his presence is still around.

Silas IMO is slowly going mad and i feel that Queen Rose is the one with the increasing power. God has abandoned Silas and he knows it.

Michelle and Jack are the victims here. Michelle would not be able to bring her baby back and Jack is a virtual prisoner who is being forced into a marriage of convenience; with a woman he can't stand.

Shame we won't be getting a second season.

I agree with you too much was left untold. For example: Did William Cross get arrested or killed?

If they had done a series finale, i think it would have been rushed and incomplete. Only way it could have been done throug flash forward to later years which would have sucked, IMHO.
